Bella Vista Quilt Show
What a great group of quilters and a good job of organizing the show. I had my trusty side kick Sharon with me this trip, what a work horse! We worked hard and played hard while there. Our first stop had to be at the Rabbit’s Lair where we were able to pick up some civil war prints from their Jo Morton collection. Set up was about a three hour event. We were able to enjoy a fine dinner at Ruby Tuesdays with friends and still get to the hotel in time to enjoy a swim before bed. I’m showing a photo of the Best of Show Quilt. I have other photos on my IPad but I’m still trying to learn how to get them where I want them. Maybe I’ll post them on Facebook.
Collage Handbag Class Date Change
I’m sorry for any confusion, but we are moving Jan’s Collage Handbag Class to APRIL 5. This was done to accommodate 3 students who want to attend together. We’ve got room for one or two more so please give me a call and reserve your place. It will be a fun class, plus it’s good free motion stitching practice! Class fee $30.
JUST ARRIVED!! I learned of a new product for you. It’s called “Transfer Eze”. It’s a water soluble freezer paper backed film that you can run through your printer/copier. Just copy your pattern onto the transfer eze, peel the freezer paper off, and stick the transfer eze to your fabric. You can embroidery, applique or quilt right through the film. When finished, cut excess away and rinse the rest away. You can also use this for thread painting. Let’s do a Class! This product is now in stock at the shop and sells for $15.00 for 10 sheets. Come by and let me show you how it works!

Back by popular demand!
We have had so many requests for Jan Savu’s Collage Handbag Class that we’ve brought it back one more time. This is a great class for those that are still a little timid about free motion quilting as well as those of you who have mastered it. This handbag is Jan’s original pattern and technique so you won’t find it at other shops. You’ll begin by making your own fabric by layering strips onto a base. You’ll also learn to make your own handles by wrapping rope, and will end the day with a beautiful original handbag. The class will be held on Saturday, March 31st at 10AM, and will cost just $30. You may bring your own fabric or I can supply a kit for you. Just let me know, when you make your reservation. Hope to see you here!

Clinton Piecemaker’s Retreat
OFC Quilt Retreat Great Success!!
Year four of the Comfy Cozy Quilt Retreat ended with another successful group of classes, fellowship, inspiration, and education. In fact we have already established the schedule for 2013. We will be offering many of the classes we taught this year with minor changes in the projects. We did this because of the overwhelming response from participants to take a class next year that they were able to see this year. Attendance has grown with this year approaching 40 students in 6 classes. Watch the Ozark Folk Center website for a posting of next years classes and schedule. Class size is limited so register early!
This Site is a Work in Process
I am taking a web design class and hope to have all my information online very soon.
